Our Public Health & Medicine expeditions are curated to provide in-depth and immersive experiences in identifying medical issues and education on public health. Students partner with investigators for collaborative field surveys and research on topics such as water testing/lead testing, hair testing, malnutrition studies, the incidence of disease, and epidemiology reports of community health burdens. Students participate in course-related clinics lead by a renowned leader in field medical work, International Medical Relief, to provide patient care through basic triage skills, education on medicine usage, pharmacy script transmission, chronic disease management, scribing for providers during diagnosis and comprehensive examination, dental clinic, medical clinic, sterilization, patient care and community sustainability and education. Envision yourself identifying diseases in Cambodia, aiding a child with Ichthyosis get life-saving medical attention, or providing HIV prevention education. Choose from destinations like Myanmar, Indonesia and Africa.
Make a Difference
Through our partner International Medical Relief (IMR), your group will work in acute care medical clinics in communities with limited access to healthcare resources under the supervision of licensed professionals.
