Itinerary

Your group will fly direct to Sihanoukville, Cambodia on the Thailand Gulf. Upon arrival, your group will transport to your accommodation on the mainland for a group dinner and orientation.

Wake up to breakfast provided to you at the hotel on the mainland. After breakfast, begin your journy by boat to the incredible Song Saa Private Island. Attend the team orientation to further prepare you for clinic! Your team leader will assign your roles for clinic, go over our clinic protocols, and discuss the communities you will be serving in the Koh Rong islands.

After orientation, you will be free to explore the island, book spa treatments, enjoy the pool and more.

One of the most important ways to make these small and isolated communities healthier is to provide education on the prevention of dengue fever and malaria. Training in women’s health, HIV/STD prevention, hygiene, and nutrition are the sustainable ways we can help create a healthier future for the more than 4,000 people living in the Koh Rong. In addition to health education, International Medical Relief will provide much needed medical services, acute dental care, and supplies. The islands have limited resources, limited job opportunities, and limited services, making the lives of the villagers challenging. Infections and parasites go untreated, wounds fester, and 75% of the villagers are malnourished.

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel then bid farewell to beautiful Cambodia as you head to the airport for your international flight home. Interested in extending your stay? Contact us to explore more of Southeast Asia!

Encompassing a number of picturesque islands, the Koh Rong Archipelago delivers the kind of off-the-radar experience that many of South East Asia’s islands offered 30 years ago prior to a rise in tourism; where white sand beaches, protected reefs, and jungle-covered hills remain untouched. Situated approximately 20 kilometers off the coast of Sihanoukville, cross the waters directly to Song Saa Private Island, an eco-luxe retreat where sleekly designed villas, infinity pools, shaded daybeds on quiet sandy beaches and sunbathing beckons.

Worldwide Navigators has partnered with International Medical Relief, Song Saa Private Island and the Cambodian government to provide healthcare to islanders living within the Archipelago of the Thailand Gulf. Too small and remote for fully staffed clinics, we will be returning once again to provide acute medical and dental care and health education for the approximately 2,000 villagers. After being forced away from the mainland during the brutal regime of the Khmer Rouge, these communities are in desperate need of medical care.
