Itinerary

Your overseas adventure has begun as you travel to Mendoza. As you descend, take a look out of your window to see Argentina’s towering mountains, lush forests, and expansive cityscape. A local guide will be waiting to transfer you to your city hotel. 

The afternoon is yours to explore your environment – look for wildlife on a nature path, jump into the hotel pool, or get a massage at the hotel spa. In the evening, you’ll meet with your guide for a traditional Argentinian dinner, providing a great opportunity to get to know your guides and ask questions about your upcoming adventures!

After a well-rested night, it’s time to explore the city of Mendoza. Start at Plaza Independencia, which is in the heart of the town and where it first came into being. Next, you’re off to the House of Government to view its rationalist style architecture built in 1951. Take a break for lunch in Parque General San Martin and enjoy a nature walk through its garden. Following this, you’ll arrive at The Hill of Glory for panoramic views of the city and surrounding Andean terrain. End the day at the city center’s markets to search for the perfect souvenir.

Another adventurous day awaits as you make your way to Sierra Chica Polo Center to learn the sport of polo. Argentina has a love affair for polo and has hosted competitions since 1893. Expert polo coaches will teach you how to score goals with a long wooden mallet while riding a horse — not an easy task! Once you get the hang of polo, break into teams to have a friendly competition. Next, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before making your way to Termas de Cacheuta. Submerge yourself into the thermal pools for a state of deep relaxation and spectacular Andes Mountain views. Take full advantage of all the facilities, including bubble beds, foot baths, and a thermal circuit! End the day with a massage before heading back to your hotel.

Wine lovers – come one, come all! Today will start with a trip to the Lujan de Cuyo area. Here, you will meet local farmers and explore their traditional vineyards. Learn about the process of making the perfect cup of wine, stomp grapes with your feet, and tour a wine cellar. Of course, you will also enjoy many samples of Argentina’s finest wines. Following this, explore the historical La Carrodilla Church. Take note of the carving on the wall of a child holding a bunch of grapes. Rest up at your hotel. In the late afternoon, you will attend a polo game played by Argentina’s professional team, Polo Brabant. Watch in awe as the athletes precisely control their horses to know the ball into the net. Cheer your favorite team on with good company into the night!

Congratulations on making it to your final full day of the trip! You are off to visit the country’s famous Andes Mountains. Make a stop halfway through the long drive at Potrerillos to catch some fresh air, grab a snack, and soak up the lake scenery. Next, you’ll arrive at Puente del Inca, a rock bridge over the Vacas River. Are you brave enough to cross?! Continue your journey to finally arrive at Aconcagua, the tallest mountain the Americas, towering at 22840 feet (that’s tall!). Learn about the mountain at a lookout point and be sure to take lots of photos of this breathtaking natural wonder. What a spectacular way to end your last day in Argentina!
