The Dynasties of China

Upon your arrival to the beautiful city of Beijing, your international travel adventure following the emperors of China and their dynasties is set to begin. A guide will be waiting for you and will accompany you throughout your stay in this city. Your group will visit Tiananmen Square, as well as the Mao Zedong Mausoleum. After, a delicious dinner and walk around the city await you, where you can explore the culture, shopping and nightlife of the capital city of China. 

After an early breakfast, your guide will take your group to the Summer Palace, where you will visit the many structures and gardens and have an opportunity to learn about the history and the many dynasties that passed through here. After lunch, you will head to the Forbidden City, the most famous of the palaces in China, where you will visit this beautiful and historic compound, as well as the Palace Museum located within. A couple of minutes away, you will conclude your day with a tour of the National Museum of China, where there are over a million artifacts dating from the time of the Yuanmou Man, 1.7 million years ago, all the way up to the Qing Dynasty, the last imperial rulers of China. 

Your final day in Beijing, you will first head to the Sacred Road, a collection of mausoleums made by the emperors of the Ming Dynasty. After a tour through the different graves, statues and garden, you will visit one of the greatest feats of ancient architecture, the Great Wall of China. This particular section of the wall is named the Badaling, one of the best preserved. After walking around and exploring one of the Seven Wonders of the World, your group will head back to the city for a tour of the Temple of Heaven. A delicious dinner awaits you before you head to the hotel to pack up for a day of travel.  

A short plane ride away, your group will arrive in the city of Xi’an, where your next tour guide awaits you. After dropping your items off at the hotel, your group will be taken to visit the Terracotta Army, located in the mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor, Qin Shi Huang. He is also considered to be the first emperor of China. After a guided tour of this monumental museum structure, your group will stop for lunch, after which you will see the city of Xi’an. There you will be able to visit places such as the Bell Tower, and both the Small and Giant Wild Goose Pagoda, as well as explore the nightlife.

Up bright and early, you will get to visit the Ancient City within Xian, where your guide will show you the sights within the ancient walls, as well as shopping and cycling. After a morning full of walking and sightseeing, lunch awaits your group. The next stop in your tour is the archeological site of Banpo, where a Neolithic settlement discovered here was carbon-dated to between 5,000 and 7,000 years ago. Within the site, there is a museum where many of the artifacts found in the settlement are displayed. Once finished, your final stop in the beautiful city of Xi’an is the Epang Palace, a complex that was also constructed by Qin Shi Huang. After dinner, your group will head back to the hotel to rest up and pack for the final leg of your journey.   

After an early morning and breakfast, your group will head to the airport for a 2-hour flight to the beautiful and cosmopolitan city of Shanghai, the final city on your trip, where your guide awaits you. You will receive a wonderful tour around the sights of the city, including the Bund and the Jade Buddha Temple. After working up an appetite, your group will head out to the Tianzifang, where there is an abundance of restaurants and many unique stores. After, your group will also go on a beautiful walk inside the City God Temple, where you’ll see the lovely Yu Garden. Finally, you will head to the Oriental Pearl TV Tower, and head up to the observation decks that overlook the city. Shopping and exhibitions are also inside the building, as well as the famous revolving restaurant. You will finally retire to your hotel, where you will rest up for a full day of traveling. 

After a delicious breakfast, you will be able to roam around the city before your group heads to the airport for the final voyage home.
