Arrive into Kathmandu by air before taking another short flight to Pokhara, Nepal for an ecotourism trip to the Himalayas. Depending on the time you arrive in the city, you may have time to do some sightseeing. Explore the beautiful city that sits on Phewa Lake and enjoy the scenery while drinking a glass of wine or having a beer at one of the local restaurants. Then get a good night’s rest at your hotel before starting your long trekking adventure.
Have a delicious breakfast before heading to Nayapul. Enjoy the drive with views of mountains, rich green hills, rivers, and rice paddies. In Nayapul you will begin your trekking adventure towards Birenthanti while passing through villages and enjoying the surrounding nature and scenery. The first day of trekking will be easy with slight hills before ending in Tikhedhunga.
To start the day get in a hearty breakfast before another day of trekking to Ghorepani Village. Start by going up a steep incline where you will pass through Ulleri village and go onwards to Banthanti. Enjoy the views of the surrounding mountains of the Himalayas and forests. Stop in Nagenthanti for a quick lunch before continuing towards Ghorepani where you will end your day. Settle into your hotel, put your feet up and enjoy a delicious dinner before turning in.
Wake up before the sun rises and start climbing to Poon Hill to see amazing views of the sunset at great heights. While on top of Poon Hill you will be able to see other peaks like Annapurna South, Barahsikhar, and Dhampus Peak. After enjoying a once-in-a-lifetime view, head back to your hotel for breakfast. Your trekking towards Tadapani will lead you to waterfalls and small villages as well as off and on hills before making it to Tadapani. Relax for the night with beautiful views and fresh air.
Your trekking towards Ghandruk begins after breakfast at your hotel. With the trail mostly going downhill you will get to spot wildlife and walk through oak forests while still having views of the various peaks of the Himalayas. After stopping in Bhaisikharka for lunch you will continue downhill to Ghandruk. Known for its stone carved village, Ghandrunk will not disappoint. Either relax at your hotel or visit the Ghandruk Cultural Museum to learn about significant items of their culture.
Continue trekking down hill after breakfast on the stone path towards Syauli Bazaar. Make sure to capture photos of the spectacular scenery to remember all the places you went. Pass through Chimrong and Birenthanti before making it back to Nayapul. After making it back, you will then take the same route to Pokhara which is a great place to unwind and relax after your multiple days of trekking.
To end your trip to the Himalayas either take a short flight back to Kathmandu or enjoy a seven-hour drive through the countryside. Once back in Kathmandu catch a flight back home.
