Itinerary

Your overseas adventure has begun as you travel to Rajasthan, India. As your plane descends, take a look out your window to see the country’s vast landscape of bustling cities, mountains, and jungles. A local guide will be waiting at the airport to transfer you to a local hotel.

The afternoon is for you to rest, relax, and explore. Take a dip in the hotel pool, wander the city markets, or rent a bike. In the evening, you’ll meet with your guide for a traditional Indian cuisine dinner of curry and rice. YUM!

Make your way to a nearby village to learn about the rural way of life in India. The locals will welcome you with open arms. First, visit their farms and discover the locals’ farming practices, such as the use of solar powered water pumps and drip irrigation. As you walk among the Noble Nest Eco Farm, keep a lookout for partridge, quail, and antelope. Next, it’s time to jump on a tractor and ride through the rough country, passing by farmland and village huts. A guide will educate you more on India’s agriculture, and you will enjoy a hearty lunch before exploring the arts and crafts of the village. Try your hand at the potter’s wheel or learn how to make a flag.

Make your way back into the countryside for a jeep drive to gain more insight into the lives of the rural people of India. Learn about farming and agriculture as well as temples and culture. There will be plenty of tea and snacks to enjoy on the ride. Next, make your way to a local tea stall. It is not rare for hosts to accompany guests to the stalls and invite villagers to engage a cup of tea and tete-a-tete. Enjoy good conversation and be sure to ask lots of questions. Next, you’re off to your hotel for a night drive to the city of New Delhi.

Take a break from rural India to experience its lively city life. There are so many sights to see in New Delhi that you wouldn’t want to leave the city off your itinerary. Enjoy a guided tour to explore both Old and New Delhi attractions, and see the city’s most popular religious, historical, and (of course!) STEM landmarks. Take pictures in front of the city’s famous golden gates, ride in a rickshaw and enjoy a buffet lunch. Some of the top attractions you will visit include Old Delhi Market, Red Fort, Lotus Temple Stop, Qutub Minar, and the interactive New Delhi STEM Museum.

As you may have already realized, most Indian people have their roots in villages. Take a 40-minute train ride outside the big city and into the countryside to stop at another small, peaceful, green village. Warm smiles will welcome you. Enjoy a tour through their fish and chicken farm. They treasure their animals deeply. Next, enjoy the taste of homemade and natural snacks and lunch inside the locals’ homes. Following this, talk a walk through the agriculture land before feeding cows and buffaloes. Finally, cool off with a swim in a nearby river.

Today is your final day in India, so you’ll want to make it extremely special. Get up before the sun rises to visit Taj Mahal, which is an ivory marble mausoleum that houses the tomb of the former emperor, Shah Jahan. Next, you’re off to visit Wildlife SOS for a guided tour. Keep a lookout for wild elephants, tigers, rhinos, macaques, and more! Be sure to take lots of photos and ask questions about what the rangers do to protect these exotic, spectacular creatures. What an incredible last evening in India!

It has been an unforgettable week in India, but the time has come for you to say goodbye. Enjoy one final breakfast with your group and guide. Next, it’s off to the local airport to catch your departure flight home.
