Welcome to one of the most iconic destinations in India. As the plane begins its descent, focus your energy and harness positive vibrations to help kick-start the week. Upon your arrival to the Goa International Airport, your local guide will greet you and you’ll be transferred your waterfront accommodation.

Goa is a beachfront city with an overall vibe perfect for a yoga retreat. Today, you will start the morning with a sunrise Hatha yoga session, which will help to center your mind for the week ahead. The class will be with hosted by an instructor at a beachfront location that provides the perfect setting for tranquility and relaxation.

After the yoga session, you will get the opportunity to take part in the retreat’s regular philosophy sessions and delve into the depths of reality as we know it. In the afternoon, you’ll have the option to either sail around the area or explore it on foot at your leisure.

Situated in a more isolated area, you’ll start this day in Goa with another sunrise yoga session at a local yoga center. After practice, you’ll get the chance to experience a holistic healing session with one of the Ayurvedic doctors on site and learn more about the ancient remedies that are still in use today.

Following your Ayurvedic consultation, you will be guided through a one-hour beachfront meditation session. Simply let your mind flow as you focus on the sound of the waves. After wrapping up the meditation, you will enjoy a delicious vegan lunch.

Take the morning to wake up slowly, giving your body the chance to find its own natural rhythm. Today you will be connecting with a yoga guru from Yoga Gypsys near Keri Beach. Simply walking around this area packed with treehouses, Portuguese-style villas and more is enough to slip you into relaxation mode.

After the yoga and self-awareness practice, take a dip in the waters of Keri Beach. From there, walk over to the nearby Ajoba Temple. Take note of its simplicity, vibrant colors and the locals who are also visiting to relish the importance of this Hindu temple.

Ignite your day and wake up early to catch a flight from Goa to Rishikesh. Flying time is roughly is two hours and 45 minutes, so you will arrive with enough time to fit in an adventure before the day ends. Upon your arrival, you will be transferred to your accommodation.

Guess what? The Beatles actually found a lot of the inspiration for their music in India. And now, you have the opportunity to stay at the same ashram as they once did years ago. Take the afternoon to partake in a yoga session of your choice, followed by a walk alongside the historic Ganges River to recharge.

Experience the cultural rituals that have lived on for centuries here at Triveni Ghat. This river is a mecca for spiritual cleansing and ceremonies. While you’re here, take a dip in the Ganges River and wash away any worries or bad memories you no longer wish to hold onto and let the river carry them away.

After you’ve taken a bath in the Ganges River, get ready to embark on another water-based excursion. In the afternoon, you will have the option to take part in rafting adventure down the Ganges River, or take part in a sunset yoga session.

Take advantage of your final hours in Rishikesh with a final sunrise yoga session alongside the Ganges River. Allow all of the spiritual, philosophical and holistic experiences you’ve had this week to embed themselves into your memory. After a week full of spiritual growth, you will leave with a better understanding of ancient history and the importance to preserve it amidst an ever-changing modern society.

Today we live in a world that is dependent on technology and fast-paced development. However,  it’s important to conserve the wisdom of those who were here before us. To help preserve the ancient rituals of other cultures and civilizations, put forward an effort to take part in projects abroad. Learn about the history of where you come from and in the places you travel because when you do, you will always have a story to tell afterward.
