Travel Abroad to Vancouver, Canada
The Worldwide Navigators Difference
Begin your 7-day Canadian adventure by getting to know Vancouver, a bustling west coast seaport known for its gorgeous glass-towered streets and ethnic diversity. It won’t take you long to find that this vibrant city is full of creative culture and offers an endless variety of shopping and dining options. Upon arrival you will be given ample time to begin exploring Vancouver’s fun and eclectic downtown neighborhoods.
Spend the day taking in the variety of sights Vancouver has to offer. Walk or hop public transit and within minutes you’ll find Vancouver’s streets are lined with coffee shops, boutiques, art galleries and restaurants galore. Take a stroll through Stanley Park, grab some eats in historic Gastown or discover the world’s oldest Chinatown. End your day with a sunset cruise or a walk along Vancouver’s pristine shoreline.
Hop a shuttle to the hugely popular Capilano Suspension Bridge Park, home to the world’s highest and longest suspension bridges. Stand in awe as you gaze upon the thriving coastal forest surrounding the Capilano River from glass-bottomed cliffside walkways and canopy trails. Don’t be surprised if the cedar-scented rainforest air of Capilano Suspension Bridge Park takes your breath away!
After returning to downtown Vancouver, spend the rest of your evening discovering Vancouver’s hidden cultural gems by exploring the city’s arts scene. Catch a live music show in one of Vancouver’s intimate clubs, attend one of the city’s many art festivals or attend a show in one of Vancouver’s 50 professional theaters.
Just two hours away via the scenic “Sea to Sky Highway,” the village of Whistler boasts some of Canada’s most spectacular and exciting outdoor activities. You’ll want to leave Vancouver early to head north for this day of outdoor adventure.
With access to over 30 miles of walking trails, you’ll be able to experience all the natural beauty this picturesque village has to offer. Take a ride on the world-record-breaking Peak 2 Peak Gondolas or fly through the forest on an exhilarating zipline tour. Before the day ends, be sure to grab a stunning 360-degree view of Whistler Village and all its surrounding beauty while traversing Whistler’s 130-meter suspension bridge. At dusk, head back to Vancouver for a night of rest and relaxation
On Day 5, make your way to Grouse Mountain for a second day of outdoor exploration. Known as the “Peak of Vancouver,” Grouse Mountain attracts adventurers and outdoor enthusiasts all year round. To access the mountain, you’ll first ascend the SkyRide, the largest aerial tramway in all of North America. From there you can find an abundance of outdoor recreation; from hiking and nature photography to more adventurous activities like zip lining or even paragliding! No matter what you decide to do, you’ll look back fondly on your day on Grouse Mountain as you return to Vancouver for the night.
Get out on the water and experience the adventure of a lifetime as you participate in a whale watching tour. Join professional wildlife guides as you set sail off the coast of British Columbia in search of grey whales, minke whales and orcas. Each trip is a unique experience, but whale watching operators work together each day to share sighting information and will work hard to make sure you get to see as many whales as possible during your tour. You’ll also have the chance to see a wide variety of wildlife including sea lions, porpoises, seals, eagles and more.
After a day on the water, return to Vancouver for your final night in the city and a chance to shop for last-minute gifts and souvenirs.
Your seven days of discovery come to an end as you are transported to the airport for your return flights home.
