After settling into your central Atlanta hotel, get ready to see the city by air.

Meet your helicopter captain for a sky-high ride. Fly about the Atlanta skyline passing by Dobbins Air Base, Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Battery Park, and many classic sites while your captain entertains you on the flight with tales of the city.

Explore innovative designs as you tour Georgia Tech College of Design. Georgia Tech College of Design is “focused on solving crucial problems in the built environment and improving human products.”

Attend a workshop where you can explore the innovative techniques the school is applying to the design industry while focusing on sustainability. Gather state-of-the-art knowledge that will help you further your sustainability-focused design projects.

Your local guide will entertain you about the history of architecture on a tour of Atlanta area historical homes. Take a private guided tour of Swan House, Georgia’s Governor’s Mansion, the Margaret Mitchell House and Rhodes Hall.

Dinner tonight will be a walking tour, sampling of the local cuisine. Your expert culinary guide will take you on a southern food experience like no other. Taste the likes of Atlanta’s soul food, barbeque, Creole and Lowcountry cuisine.

Today you will attend a workshop from the USGBC whose mission “is to transform the way buildings and communities are designed.” Explore how architecture and interior design can build environmentally and socially responsible buildings that will improve our environmental impact and the sustainability of the planet.

Tonight, dine at the Ponce City Market where you will have a guided tour through the market. Sample a variety of gourmet wares while your guide explains the food scene and the history of the former Sears, Roebuck & Co. building-turned marketplace.

Escape the city today on a private tour to Amish Country. Explore the Mennonite and Amish culture, tradition and architecture. Their simple, functional design uses beautiful, clean lines while ensuring their buildings will last for generations.

Pick up some homemade goodies for lunch for a picnic lunch and head off on a gentle hike on the John Muir Trail on the Hiwassee River.
