The Worldwide Navigators Difference
Today you will visit a city like no other, Las Vegas! After the quick trip from the airport to your hotel on the Vegas Strip, spend the afternoon exploring the city. Walk past casinos that encompass more than a full block. Marvel at the roller coaster at New York, New York, stare mesmerized at the Bellagio fountain and be transported by the gondola rides at the Venetian.
Try your hand in the casino or just people watch – it is a feast for the eyes!
Be prepared to be amazed! The Tech Expo is loaded with new educational technology. Your two days here will be filled with mind-boggling ideas and practical educational applications for your physical and digital classrooms.
You will attend two or three breakout sessions of your choice. These breakouts will make you a better educator just by attending, leaving you with fresh and innovative ideas. Spend time visiting the vendors and gathering technological information to bring back to your school.
Join your fellow educators for a night on the town. Your group tour, led by a local guide, will cover the highlights of the city. As your guide describes the city, travel through downtown Vegas, the Vegas Strip, the fountain show at the Bellagio and the Fremont Street Experience, a pedestrian mall where you will stop for dinner.
Today you can attend several workshops focused on applying technology in the classroom and beyond. Round out the Expo by attending a grand networking event where contacts with vendors and colleagues will increase your tech circle and build support for your educational technology goals.
With the Expo complete, join your colleagues for a great meal, as there is no shortage of amazing restaurants in Vegas. Then maybe try your luck at baccarat or roulette or visit the sports book.
Early this morning, meet your pilot for a breathtaking sightseeing adventure. Fly over Hoover Dam and Lake Mead on your way to the west rim of the Grand Canyon. After landing near Black Canyon, enjoy amazing views of the canyon and the Colorado River. This is one of those adventures you will talk about for years to come.
This afternoon, join your ranger guide for a tour of Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area. View the Calico Hills, Red Spring Mountain Range and Rocky Gap from your 4×4 off-road Jeep. Marvel how plants and animals can survive in this barren terrain.
Hoover Dam is on your agenda today. Your ranger guide will take you deep inside the Hoover Dam Power plant where you can experience this National Historic Landmark. Visit the generator room, turbines and walk the underground tunnels.
Tonight take in a famous Vegas show, perhaps one of the Cirque-du-Soleil shows. There is something for everyone – comedians, musicians, celebrities and more.
There is so much to do, you will have a hard time narrowing your choices. Of course, the casinos will be calling, but there is also shopping, 4-wheeling, food tours, pub crawls and wandering through the hotels just because!
Your week in Vegas has expanded your educational technology view, along with providing one-of-a-kind traveler experiences.
