Itinerary

Your guide will meet you at Haneda Airport and take you to your hotel. Unpack, relax, and start exploring your new Tokyo neighborhood. Join your group for a welcome dinner and prepare yourself for a fun and fashion-filled week!

Spend your first full day exploring Tokyo’s iconic Harajuku neighborhood. The district is famous for being the place where trend-setting fashionistas show off their newest looks. You’ll take a tour of the district, see some amazing outfits, and browse the most famous stores. The day ends with a traditional Japanese meal in a trendy Harajuku restaurant.

This morning, start with a tour of the Bunka Gakuen Costume Museum. Explore this impressive garment museum and learn about the importance of different types of clothing in everyday Japanese life.

After the museum,  jump on the bus and head to Daikanyama for a tour of the hip and laid-back district of Daikanyama. Often referred to as Tokyo’s Little Brooklyn, this neighborhood is cool, stylish, and cozy. You’ll take a guided tour of the neighborhood and then explore it on your own. Peruse the high-end boutiques, cute cafés, and beautiful parks.

Today you’ll start at Sugino Gakuen Costume Museum. You’ll get a guided tour of the museum and get a first-hand experience of fashion designer Sugino Yoshiko’s impressive collection. The museum includes clothing from Japan, Asia, and the rest of the world. 

After the museum, you and your group will head to the Shibuya district, Tokyo’s center of fashion and youth culture. Take a guided tour and then spend the afternoon exploring.

The final district you’ll be visiting in Tokyo is Aoyama. Spend the day touring the wealthiest neighborhood in Tokyo. Learn about the high-end fashion boutiques that call it home and learn about the district’s history. Enjoy dinner in a trendy local restaurant.

Your last full day in Tokyo will center entirely around the iconic Kimono. Enjoy breakfast in your hotel and join your group on the bus for a day of kimono boutique hopping. You’ll visit some of the most famous kimono makers in Tokyo, including some of the oldest. Learn about the different kimono styles and their social significance in Japanese society.
After your tour of the kimono boutiques, you’ll experience a traditional Japanese tea ceremony. Learn all about this important cultural tradition while sampling Japanese matcha tea and traditional sweets known as wagashi.

On your last day, wake up early to enjoy a Japanese breakfast and a last walk through your neighborhood before catching your flight home. You’ll leave Tokyo with a deeper understanding of Japanese culture and with more knowledge of the past, present, and future of Tokyo’s fashion scene.
