Itinerary

Your educational student tour has begun as your plane begins its descent into Québec city. Look out of your window to see the country’s ocean, forests, and mountains. A local guide will be waiting at the airport to bring you to your hotel in the city center.

Take some time to rest and unpack, then the rest of the afternoon is free time. Order room service, check out the hotel’s gift shop or take a walk around the city. In the evening, you will meet with your local guides for dinner at the hotel restaurant. Take this time to get to know your guides and ask questions about your upcoming schedule.

After a well-rested night, we bet you’re ready to explore your new surroundings. Today you will tour the famous Québec City, learn interesting facts and hear stories from an expert guide. You’ll begin by exploring Old Québec City, which is the historical heart of Canada. You’ll get a European vibe with its narrow streets and stone buildings. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant to rejuvenate. Following this, you’ll visit the Citadelle of Québec, fortifications of Québec, Notre-Dame-des-Victoires Church, and Place Royal. After a busy day, head back to your hotel to unwind.

Bundle up for today’s adventure, because the theme is ice! Start the day at Club de Curling Jacques-Cartier to learn about the sport of curling. You’ll be greeted with expert curling coaches who will teach you how to properly slide the stone to the target area. Canada is the top-ranking country for this sport, so you are learning from the best. After practice, engage in a friendly competition. Enjoy a well-deserved lunch at a local restaurant before riding into the mountainside. Strap on your snowshoes to follow your guide through trails of winter beauty. Soak up the spectacular landscape and stop to take lots of photos. Halfway through your journey, warm up in a heated tipi for hot chocolate and snacks.

Escape from the bustling city of Québec for an adventurous day on to water. A luxury motor coach will pick you up on Saint Lawrence River to bring you to the Bai-Sainte-Catherine, thought to be the best whale watching site in the world. Enjoy breathtaking views of beautiful killer whales and grey whales breaching. These memories will last a lifetime. Enjoy lunch at a nearby fisherman’s village before heading back to your hotel.

We hope you woke up hungry because today is all about food! Meet a local guide to sample traditional Québec cuisine. Save room in your stomach, because you’ll enjoy 15 tastings across seven venues. That’s a lot of food! Next, you’ll visit Le Tournerbroche for a glass of their organic rotisserie wine. You’ll end the day at a local pub to discuss your favorite foods and how they compare to the food in your home country. If you still have room in your stomach, stop by a chocolate shop to satisfy your sweet tooth on your transfer back to your hotel. In the evening, head out to watch the WFG Tankard curling competition. Now that you know the game, it’s time to watch professionals play. Did your favorite team win?!

It’s your final day in Québec. Let’s make it one to remember! Make your way to the outlet of Rapids Tewkesbury on Jacques-Cartier River. Climb into your wetsuits and raft as you ride down this roaring ice-water river. Enjoy the wind in your hair, water splashing in your face, and thrill of the rapids as you ride. Your expert guide will reveal all of the river’s best-kept secrets. After your trip, enjoy a barbecue lunch of hamburgers and pasta as a reward for your efforts. What a spectacular way to end your last day!

This week has flown by, and it’s time to leave this beautiful and historical province. Enjoy breakfast with your guides and group before heading to the local airport for your departure flight.

Canada is known for its glorious nature and wildlife and mixed culture. The extraordinarily large country is rated among the world’s most beautiful locations for a reason.

On your trip to Québec, you will learn the game and watch professionals play the sport of curling while visiting the province’s top attractions. The trip’s highlights include whitewater rafting down Jacque-Cartier River, snowshoeing through the mountains, and boating the Pacific Ocean to spot breaching whales.
