Many sea birds can also be spotted on tours of the channel including the majestic albatross. In the afternoon you will reach Harberton Ranch where you will take a zodiac to the Maritllo Island in the middle of the Beagle Channel– home to a colony of Magellanic and Gentoo penguins. These amazing animals gather each year from November to March in this exact spot! Learn from your guide about this penguin colony’s migration patterns. En route back to shore, keep your eye out for whales!

Expect an early morning departure from Ushuaia for a full day of off-road excursion to Lakes Fagnanao & Escondido.
