Itinerary

Your travel abroad adventure has taken flight, and you are on your way to Andorra. As you descend, take in views of the spectacular mountainous terrain. A local guide will be waiting to greet you at Andorra la Vella airport and transfer you to your hotel village. 

After taking time to rest and unpack, the afternoon is yours to explore. Take a dip in the pool, check out the games room, or explore the village. In the evening, you will regroup for a European-inspired buffet dinner with your local guides. Dinner is an excellent opportunity to ask lots of questions about your upcoming adventures and meet your travel-mates! 

Bundle up for an exciting first day! Today will begin by snowshoeing through Andorra’s wilderness. After an hour, the trees will clear and a helicopter will be waiting for you. The ride will take you to the highest peak of Hortell Mountain. Admire breathtaking views of Ordino Valley. Now it’s time to descend the uneven paths of this beautiful mountain. If you are a beginner skier, don’t worry! The tracks have varying degrees of difficulty, and professionals with be with you each step of the way. Once you make it to the bottom, you’ll be transferred back to your hotel to warm up by the fire and enjoy dinner. 

After an adrenaline-filled yesterday, today will be more relaxed. It’s time to explore the villages that bring life to this small country. Start at the center of Andorra la Vella, which is the highest capital in Europe. Stop at the 12th-century Church of Sant Joan de Caselles to view exceptional murals and learn about the history, culture, and religions of Andorra’s citizens. Finally, make your way to Ordino Valley to enjoy lunch and souvenir shopping through its markets. 

Got back that adventurous spirit? Good! You’re going to need it today. After breakfast, you’ll head to nearby ravines where you’ll have the opportunity to descend a gorge with the help of ropes, slides, jumps, abseiling, cable railings, and of course a mountain guide. This aquatic activity has differing levels of difficulty to suit your comfort level. Once you descend the mountain to the main flowing ravine, enjoy a picnic lunch. Following this, you’ll canoe down the chasm right into town. No bus transfer necessary! 

Not only is Andorra known for its skiing, but its also home to Europe’s largest spa. Today, you will travel high into the Escaldes to reach Cadela Thermal Spa. Enjoy its large indoor lagoon, outdoor lagoon overlooking the mountains, Indo-Roman baths, aqua-massage space, Icelandic bath, Hammam, Socorro bath, and outdoor terrace. Today is all about pampering yourself, and you deserve it!

You can’t leave Andorra without one last ski day, but this time it will involve no helicopters. Just a few minutes from your hotel is the Vallnord ski area. Enjoy skiing or snowboarding down beginner and intermediate slopes. You’ll also have the option to experience alternative winter sports, such as dog-sledding, snow-shoeing, or tubing. Take a moment during your last day to soak up the spectacular views of Andorra’s terrain. 

This week has flown by so fast, and you’ll be sad to go! Enjoy one last buffet breakfast with your friends and guides. Converse about your highs and lows of the trip. What education will you bring home with you? Following this, you’ll head to the local airport for your departure flight.
