Itinerary

Begin your overseas adventures at the island of Vava’u. Drop off your bags at your hotel and make a trip to the Ene’io Botanical Gardens. Meet with your guide and walk through the 22-acre garden with a vast variety of flora, where you will learn about Tonga’s culture and history and how to help save rare endangered plant species. End the day by stopping at their restaurant to try their famous fish and chips before heading back to your hotel for the night.

Start the day with a big breakfast and make your way down to the harbor where you will meet your guide for a fishing trip. Choose to fish big game or light tackle fishing and sail across the water for marlin, yellow fin tuna, or mahi-mahi. Experience the best fishing in paradise before visiting the city of Neiafu. Shop around at the local shops for handcrafted souvenirs or locally grown coffee before finding a restaurant and then turning in for the night.

Take a short flight to the island of Ha’apai. After checking into your hotel grab your beach essentials and spend the day at the fine white sand beaches. Get your tan on and read a book or explore the clear blue waters of the Pacific. Walk the coast to find hidden gems of the island or saddle up a horse and take an unforgettable beach ride. Throughout the day, find a local cafe or restaurant where you can try Tonga’s traditional cuisine.

Before leaving your hotel for the day, grab your swimsuit and an underwater camera. Meet your guide at the harbor and get ready to experience a once in a lifetime swimming adventure with humpback whales. Keep your eye out for whale spouts or breaching before getting into the warm water with the gentle giants of the sea. Eat lunch on the boat or on the beach of a nearby island before you do more whale watching. After the long day out at sea, spend the rest of the night relaxing.

Take a 45-minute flight over the main Island of Tonga. Begin the day by visiting the tombs of past Tongan Kings, find the natural land bridge, or visit the blowholes of the coral reefs. After lunch, make your way down to the protected lagoon and kayak to the many islands within the lagoon. For dinner, find a cultural dinner show and experience the splendid culture of Tonga.

For your last day head to the Island of Eua where you will experience lavish rainforests and some of the most relaxing beaches in Tonga. Take some time to discover the caves and cliffs of the island while keeping an eye out for wildlife. Listen closely and you might just hear Tonga’s rare red-breasted parrot, the koki. Eua is the perfect spot to spend your last day in paradise. Treat yourself to a pina-colada and a massage to fully de-stress before heading back home tomorrow.

Make sure your bags are packed and take a short flight back to the main Island, Tongatapu where you will catch your connecting flight back home.

Experience the ultimate in overseas adventures on the friendly islands of Tonga. Tonga is a true paradise with unforgettable white sanded beaches, lush rainforests, and clear turquoise water. With 176 islands, the possibility of adventure is inevitable. The islands of Tonga were founded by the Lapita people originally from Asia. These are the ancestors of the Polynesian people currently inhabiting the islands, and are known for the values of family, respect, and generosity.
