1 of 1Itinerary
For your first day, you’ll land in San Francisco, California. Set your bags down and hop on a ferry, because you’re going to Alcatraz! You’ll take an audio tour of the prison and learn about the people who served time here. You’ll get a chance to step into a cell, but luckily, there won’t be any escaping necessary.
Your first escape room will be in San Francisco. Head to Real Escape Game, part of the franchise of the very first escape room! This place’s most distinct feature is their pop culture-themed games, like “Attack on Titan” and “Pacific Rim.” Put your puzzle-solving skills to the test!
You’ll take a short flight today, followed by a car ride before you arrive in a small town near Los Angeles called Sylmar. Now it’s time for another escape room, called simply The Basement. When you enter one of The Basement’s four rooms, you’ll find that you’ve been kidnapped by a cannibalistic serial killer named Edward, and you have to escape, or you’ll be eaten alive! The Basement features live actors, which is pretty unique when it comes to escape rooms. Enjoy your stay!
Welcome to L.A.! Today you’ll be playing at Maze Rooms, where they have 21 different room options to choose from, including Pirate Bay, Demon Hunter, and Jack the Ripper. Once you’ve escaped (we know you will), feel free to try out a different room! We’ll make sure you’ll have time.
Day 5: Volunteer for Prison Reform | 60Out Escape Rooms
To start the day, you’ll be working with an organization in Los Angeles that works with people who are either in prison or who have been to prison to offer them support and services. You’ll meet some of these former inmates and write letters to representatives advocating for prison reform.
Next, it’s time for 60OUT! 60OUT also has a ton of room options, 25 in total! These include Alice in Wonderland, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, and Amityville. They even have an immersive theater experience. Choose your difficulty and get ready to make it out alive!
Day 6: Las Vegas | SAW Escape Room
This morning, you’ll take a short plane ride to Las Vegas! Today is your scariest escape room experience by far: The Official SAW Escape Room! Based on the movie franchise, you’ll enter an elaborate game set into action by Jigsaw himself. This one isn’t for the faint of heart, and we can’t guarantee what scary things you’ll see in there!
Day 7: Departure Home
It’s time to go back to school, but you’ve definitely built a new bond with your fellow travelers as you solved these puzzles together! That will last even after you break out of your last room.
