Itinerary

Arrive in beautiful Athens. Your private transportation will meet you at the airport and drive you to your central Athens hotel. 

Dinner tonight will be at a local Greek taverna for a classic Greek dinner and folklore show. After dinner, drive by many Athen’s landmarks beautifully lit against the dark, starry night. See the likes of the Parthenon and Temple of Zeus beautifully illuminated.

Your private tour guide will pick you up at your hotel and will help you explore the best parts of Athens. Begin your journey at the Acropolis and tour the museum as your guide highlights the most remarkable displays.

Journey to the Temple of Poseidon, which was built in 44 B.C. perched on a precipice over the Aegean Sea. The magnificent, panoramic view will leave no doubt why they built on this extraordinary site.

Experience Athenian cuisine at its finest on a foodie walking tour of the city. Visit the Varvakios Agora with your guide to learn about the city’s culinary history. Indulge in traditional breads, wines and cheeses as you stroll through shops that cater to locals.

Your private guide will pick you up at your hotel for your journey to Oichalia. Relax and enjoy the Peloponnesian countryside on your morning ride to Oichalia.

After checking in to your hotel and grabbing a quick lunch, head out to visit the archeological site at Bassae. Meet with your archeological guide for a tour of the dig and an overview of the plan for tomorrow.

Arise early this morning and join the dig team for your first day on the site as an archeologist. Spend the day learning about how items are located, retrieved and preserved on the dig sites. Follow alongside your archaeologist guide as you explore the dig.

Today your guide will bring you to the archeological site of Olympia in Elis. Olympia was a major Panhellenic religious sanctuary and where the ancient Olympic Games were held. Enjoy a guided walk through the dig site.

This morning you will head back to Athens to enjoy the city. You have lots of options to choose from. You can visit more historical sites, experience the wonderful seafood, and watch the world go by.

Sadly, you must depart this city, her beautiful people, and her rich history.
