Upon arrival at the Denpasar airport, take the transfer to your hotel in Canggu. Relax by the pool, walk along the beach, or find a trendy cafe for a drink before a welcome dinner with your tour guide.
After breakfast at your hotel, head down to the beach for a surfing lesson, or relax on the black sand beaches. Recharge with lunch at a well-known beach club. While driving to your next destination, your guide will give you a brief history of the unique Balinese culture. Swim at Tegenungan Waterfall, and if you’re feeling energetic, climb a steep set of stairs up to a river club and giant swing.
Stop at a local family temple to learn more about Hindu traditions before arriving at your hotel in Ubud. Relax by the pool or do some shopping before dinner with the group.
This morning, you will visit the picturesque Tegalalang Rice Terrace and giant swing. Experience several nearby temples before participating in a water purification ritual at Pura Tirta Empul.
Have lunch at a local village and learn how to make a Balinese dessert. Tour a cocoa and coffee plantation, and sample some unique flavors. Return to Ubud to visit Saraswati Temple and Ubud Palace in the center of town. End the day at Pura Dalem Taman Kaja where you will see a Kecak dancing performance, a Balinese Hindu drama and dance form.
Head out bright and early for a tour of Ubud’s traditional food market. Sample local fruits and learn about unique herbs and spices used in Balinese cooking. Drive to a family home where you will learn how to make a few Balinese dishes such as satay, coconut curry, and gado gado.
After lunch, you’ll have the option of visiting Ubud’s Monkey Forest or whitewater rafting the Ayung River. Take a yoga class at The Yoga Barn and walk through Ubud’s bustling streets before dinner at a local fusion restaurant.
Do some last-minute shopping at Ubud’s markets before the drive to the ferry port. Take the fast boat to Nusa Penida.
This afternoon you’ll tour some of Nusa Penida’s stunning natural features. Highlights include landmarks such as Angel’s Billabong, Crystal Bay, Kelingking Beach, and Broken Beach. Stay in a beach bungalow and relax to the sounds of jungle life and ocean waves.
Take a full-day snorkel tour around Nusa Penida. This time you’ll see yesterday’s landmarks from the boat, and explore a whole new world underwater. Crystal Bay will astound you with its clear water and sea life, and if you’re lucky, you’ll get to swim with manta rays at Manta Point.
Hop aboard the last ferry back to the mainland, where you’ll stay at a seaside resort. Enjoy a candlelit dinner and live music on the beach with your tour guide and travel companions.
Take the shuttle to the airport, do some last-minute shopping, or catch some last rays of sun before your flight home.
