Itinerary

A new adventure has taken flight as you embark on global travel to Swakopmund, Namibia. As your plane descends, take a look out of your window to see breathtaking views of endless deserts and dunes. A local guide will be waiting to transfer you to your luxury desert lodge.

Take some time to rest and unpack, and in the afternoon, you will attend a photography lesson taught by professionals. They will show you how to tilt and angle your camera, as well as at what point to snap a picture. In the evening, you will attend dinner with your guide and photographer to enjoy authentic Namibian cuisine.

Got those cameras ready? Good! You’re going to need them today as you head out in the early morning to Walvis Bay for an educational marine sailing tour. Search for Namibia’s marine Big 5: whales, turtles, seals, mola, and dolphins. Make sure to snap lots of photos! Enjoy fresh oysters, sparkling wine, and savory snacks for lunch on the water. Following this, head to Pelican Point in search for cape fur seals and humpback whales. Next, you’ll head back to land to be transferred back to your lodge.

Today, you will cruise on quads through Namibia’s renowned dunes and deserts. You’ll make your way through several valley’s canyons, plains, and dunes that are famous in this region of the world. Of course, you will stop at each sightseeing spot to snap some photos with your guide. If you’re lucky, you’ll spot the Topnaar people who live out in Namibia’s desert. Enjoy lunch near a rare oasis before heading back to the edge of the desert.

Ladies and gentlemen, it is the day you have all been waiting for: the Namib-Naukluft National Park photography full-day tour, visiting one of the most photographed destinations in the world. Wake up before dawn to head out to this national park. Snap lots of pictures with a professional’s assistance as the sun rises over the dunes, an experience you will not forget! Take a guided tour through orange dunes, arid landscape, and towers of sand in search of Africa’s most famous wildlife such as elephants, giraffes, lions, and cheetahs. After lunch, you will have an opportunity to hike this incredible landscape for a more up-close and personal experience with Namibia’s nature. As the sun sets over some of the tallest dunes in the world, you’ll head to town for dinner.

This morning you will take a 4×4 toward Naankuse Lodge to enjoy a carnivore feeding tour. Watch Africa’s wild and exotic animals being fed red meat all while snapping photos. You will see cheetahs, lions, hyenas, crocodiles, and more.  Yikes, make sure to stay inside the vehicle while enjoying your own lunch! Your guides will educate you on each of these animals, as well as the impact climate change and poaching has on their prosperity moving forward. You’ll make it back to your lodge for some free time and then dinner.

Spend your final day in Namibia kayaking Sandwich Harble, beginning with a scenic ride to this location. On the way, you’ll stop to snap pics of pelicans and flamingos. Once you make it to the harbor, jump in a kayak, and begin paddling. A guide will lead you to a hotspot for cape fur seals who are very playful and not afraid of people. You’ll paddle right next to them – an excellent photo opportunity. Once you return to land, you’ll take a 4×4 through desert dunes to Sandwich Lagoon to enjoy finger food and lunch. Jump in the water to cool off before heading back to your lodge.

It’s been a full week of adventure and opportunity, but it’s time to say goodbye. Enjoy one final breakfast with your group and guides before heading to the local airport to fly home. We are confident that your family and friends will be in awe of your photographs!

Namibia is an elephant stomping ground where dunes are mountains and stripy safari sunsets paint the sky. Indeed, its awe-inspiring desert landscape and wavy shores are a must-see for all nature-lovers and adventurers.

In this trip to Namibia, you will photograph the country’s most famous landmarks. The trip’s highlights include sailing Walvis Bay to spot the marine big 5, quad driving through the Namib Desert’s endless dunes, and (of course!) touring Namib-Naukluft National Park.
