Itinerary

Arrive in Paris, the City of Lights, where you will fall in love with this beautiful city.

This evening join a culinary tour that will tickle your tastebuds and flood your mind with history. Your gastronomic guide will stroll you through the streets of Montmartre to taste some of the region’s most fabulous cheeses, pastries and other delights.

Join your local guide as you enjoy this very walkable city. Visit the classic Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, Sacré-Coeur de Montmartre, Ile de la Cité and the Arc de Triomphe.

This evening, explore the Latin Quarter where you will find a grand selection of restaurants.

After a sumptuous breakfast, grab the train to La Freche, enjoy the French countryside as you glide along the tracks. 

Your docent will guide you through the College Henri-IV de Le Freche where Descarte studied, now the Prytanee Military School.

Visit the towns of Saint-Justin and Labastide d’Armagnac and enjoy a tour of the French countryside while visiting the town markets. Stop for an al fresco lunch along the route.

Take the evening train back to Paris.

This morning your private docent will tour you around Descartes University. After, join a workshop focused on the philosophy of Descartes. Spend the afternoon, discussing the foundation of Descartes theories with University Fellows.

Join your fellows for a dinner cruise on the Seine as you continue your discussion about the “father of modern philosophy.”

The fire at Notre Dame Cathedral left the world reeling. Get an insider’s tour of what is happening to repair this classic landmark. Visit the cathedral and meet with a restoration group, watch the repair vision come alive, and experience history in the making.

As you prepare to leave France, you now know why it haunts the heart and calls you back again and again. Viva la France!
