Itinerary

Upon arrival at LAX, you will be greeted by your local guide and transferred to your hotel to freshen up before going out for a welcome dinner to meet your fellow travelers. 

Your guide will be with you for the duration of your visit and will share with you important details and tips. As you learn and study history on this trip, be inspired to be a great leader.

Following breakfast at your hotel, you will depart on a tour of Hollywood, where Reagan was a well-known actor for many years. As President of the Screen Actors Guild for several years, Reagan was an influential advocate for the cinema.

In the afternoon, you will have the opportunity to view one of Reagan’s early films in a local theatre. Walk along the Hollywood Walk of Fame to see the stars of other celebrities who were honored over the years. Visit Rodeo Drive for some exclusive shopping if you like.

Today you will depart on a scenic trip through Malibu to the original Reagan Ranch and Paramount Movie Ranch where Reagan filmed numerous western movies.

Afterward, you will visit the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum for a self-guided tour to learn more about Reagan and his legacy. At the library, you can see an exact replica of the Oval Office as it looked during the years Reagan served as the President of the USA. You will also see a six-ton piece of the Berlin Wall, the destruction of which was a key piece of the legacy of Reagan’s presidency.

Following lunch at Reagan’s Country Cafe, you may visit Air Force One or President Reagan’s memorial before returning to Los Angeles to catch a short flight to Sacramento.

This morning you will wake up in Sacramento to see sites from Reagan’s years as Governor of California. You will tour the Governor’s Mansion as well as Legislative Chambers.

In the afternoon, you will tour the “old-town” Sacramento and learn of the history of this area.

Following breakfast, you will return to Los Angeles.

You will have free time this afternoon to enjoy as you like. Your guide will provide suggestions if you need them — or you can add an impact project to your trip!

No trip to Los Angeles would be complete without a trip to the eclectic Venice Beach, a great place for people-watching, enjoying the sand and surf, partaking of a delightful lunch at Figtree’s Cafe, and browsing the shelves of Small World Books.

Today you will explore downtown Los Angeles. See the diversity of architectural heritage from historical buildings to modern skyscrapers. Visit historic theatres and Art Deco style buildings.

Enjoy lunch at a street cafe or one of the many restaurants in the vicinity.
