It’s the day you’ve been waiting for! Today, you’ll experience the traditional craft of wax dyeing in Indonesia. The country has a rich textile tradition, which dates back centuries. If there is one fabric to be found across the archipelago islands, it’s batik. Batik is dyeing fabric with the wax-resist method where individuals hand-paint wax on clothes before melting it off. The result is beautiful patterns and designs. Today, you will visit a workshop to watch batik being produced by hand. It is a very meticulous task! Next, the workers will conduct a class to teach you how to create your own batik designs. What a wonderful souvenir to bring home with you!
Jump on a boat from Bali to escape to the Gili Islands. Your boat will have a glass bottom for you to view Bali’s marine life on the way. Keep a lookout for turtles, sharks, stingrays, colorful fish, and more! Traditional Indonesian cuisine awaits your arrival at your private island. Next, take some time to rest in a hammock, swim in the ocean, explore the jungle, or snorkel the water. A local guide will accompany you to comment on the area’s unique ecosystems and wildlife.
