Itinerary

You’ll arrive at your first stop, Cabarete in the Dominican Republic. Relax and eat some mangú as you prepare for your first day tomorrow!

You’re going kitesurfing today! Cabarete is one of the most renowned kitesurfing locations because the area is protected by the reef, which means very smooth water inside it. If you’re new to the sport, there are instructors available who can help you every step of the way.

It’s time to volunteer! You’ll work with a local children’s sports team, fostering youth leadership and encouraging fitness. You’ll talk to the other people who work with the league about how it was formed and the difficulties they faced. You might even end up kicking around the ball with the kids a little, which they’ll love.

Once you’re done, you’ll hop on a plane to the Cayman Islands! Lucky you, going from one tropical paradise to another.

Today, you’ll be kitesurfing in Grand Cayman. This city has some of the best kitesurfing conditions in the world since the wind is always warm and the bays give experienced surfers tons of room to cruise around.

For your second day in the Cayman Islands, you’ll interact with some aquatic animals! Your first stop is Stingray City, a shallow sandbar where stingrays like to hang out. You won’t just be able to see these beautiful creatures; you’ll learn how to feed them and even get a chance to kiss them!

Next, you’ll go snorkeling at Coral Gardens. You’ll be moving through the water more slowly than if you were kitesurfing, but you’ll also have a different view. Water depths are 8 to 10 feet and will allow you to see the amazing marine life.

After, take a plane to Mexico for your last adventure of the trip.

There’s one more destination where you can kitesurf! Baja California Sur is another leading kitesurfing destination. It has warm water and great wind, and you’ll enjoy every minute of it! Take some time to talk to the local surfers and learn about how they started in this extreme sport.

Your trip may have come to an end, but that doesn’t mean that your adventures have to! Make sure you get out and kitesurf as much as you can. You deserve it.

Kiteboarding is one of the fastest growing extreme sports, combining wakeboarding, surfing, sailing, and paragliding all into one. It’s incredibly exhilarating and tons of fun! On this trip to study exercise science, you’ll visit the best spots to go kiteboarding in the Dominican Republic, the Cayman Islands, and Mexico. You’ll also get to snorkel with stingrays among some incredible coral reefs and volunteer with an NGO that promotes youth sports. Book your trip today!
