Itinerary

Your home for this nature lovers’ visit will be a cabin on the lake at one of the most beautiful coastal islands in the world.

Settle in, enjoy a hike, a swim and a welcome campfire dinner where you will meet your local guide, a certified naturalist, who will be your historian, nature expert, and ecological guide.

You set sail today for a full day of seal and whale watching, mackerel and cod fishing and lobster hauling. PEI lobster boats work collaboratively with researchers to improve the sustainability of lobster fishing. Lobstering represents a large portion of PEI’s fishing industry, and cooperative work by the fishers will ensure the longevity of the industry.

Return to your campsite tonight for an open fire and an ocean feast, cooked up with the assistance of your guide.

Today is the day for deep sea tuna fishing! Be ready for the fight of your fishing life! Reeling in a tuna can take three hours or more, with your captain’s help and guidance, you can bring in a 400 kg fighter. For the avid sports fisher, tuna fishing in the ultimate fishing experience.

North Lake is considered the tuna capital of the world, where the fish are enormous and abundant, providing one of the greatest thrills in the sport of fishing.

The tuna fishing industry operates on a quota system to keep the numbers in check and maintain sustainability.

This will be a day to remember with a great photo of your catch or an amazing story about the “big one that got away.”

Have you ever tonged an oyster? Today you can give tonging a go where the wild oysters live, using the 12- to 20-foot long tongs to pull them up from the depths. After, return to an oyster farm and learn how the farm and processing plant operate. 

Learn the proper way to shuck an oyster and enjoy an amazing, expertly-prepared lunch where oysters are the star.

After lunch, hop on a kayak and follow your guide through the many inlets and beautiful vistas around the North Cape area of PEI.

Get up close and personal with this unique experience. Learn about the art of falconry. Experience the thrill of calling, holding and hand feeding a falcon under the guidance of your knowledgeable guide. 

Your naturalist guide will accompany you while you hike the Red Cliffs to Cavendish Beach. Don’t forget your camera – vistas abound here for amazing Instagrammable photos.

This morning, pack up your kit pack and hand it off to your guide. After he drops you at your fishing charter for the day, you will head out to where the fish are biting and catch your own dinner.

While the chef is cleaning your catch, discover where the clams are and dig some up for super fresh clams casino al fresco.

Relax by the campfire on the beach while your chef prepares your amazing, freshly caught dinner.  Enjoy the campfire late into the evening and retire to the tents your guide has set up along the shoreline.
