The afternoon is yours to explore. Take a nature walk, stroll into town, or check out the lodge gift shop. In the evening, you will meet with your group and local guide for dinner. Take some time to get to know the people who will be joining you on your next week of adventures.
After a well-rested night, it’s time to explore your novel surroundings. Stroll down the medieval streets of Mostar, absorbing its dynamic and colorful atmosphere. Stop to tour the renowned Turkish House and Mosque of Mostar. Next, visit the town’s famous bridge, which was destroyed in World War I before being rebuilt. If you’re a daredevil, dive off into the Neretva River below. After lunch at a local restaurant, you’ll make your way to Medjugorje. Visit Apparition Hill to discover a shrine that is a significant Catholic pilgrimage site. Relax in the Garden of Contemplation before heading back to your hotel.
Calling all adrenaline junkies, today is for you. Make your way to the upper stream of Neretva River. Jump into a raft and start paddling down roaring rapids and small waterfalls. Take time to appreciate the lush forests and canyons that surround you. As the river calms, tie up your raft on shore for a picnic lunch. Enjoy cliff diving and swimming before continuing your adventure right into town!
We hope you’re hungry because today is all about indulging in the country’s foods and drinks. Start the day by dropping by three of the most renowned restaurants in town to try a variety of locally prepared Herzegovinian dishes. Next, you’re on route to a nearby winery to learn the process as to how locals produce wine and tour the premises. Enjoy two of the best-known wines of Herzegovina, Zilvka and Blatina. Finally, saddle up for a horseback ride through the vineyard and village to appreciate its ambiance and preserved environment.
Get ready for a good leg workout as you bicycle from Mostar to the historical monument of the 16th-century Stari Most bridge. Your next stop is Blagaj, which is a town twelve kilometers outside of Mostar. Bike along the river’s springs and past the Dervis monastery. Enjoy lunch at a local village restaurant before continuing to the Old Town of Pocitelj and its historical monuments. Your last stop of the day is Mogorjelo, a 4th-century Roman villa. A coach will be waiting for you here to load your bikes and transport you back to your hotel. Well done!
Start your final day with a picturesque drive to Kravice. As you walk over to its waterfalls, admire your dramatic surrounding and the 80-foot drop of water. Now it’s time to hike down to the bottom of the Kravice Falls. Can you feel the mist on your face? Once you’re at the base, dive into the shallow pools for a refreshing swim. You’ll have a full day to go on nearby hikes, splash in the water, a trail ride through the forest, or soak up the rays on solid land. After a fun-filled day, make your way back to Mostar.
