Itinerary

You are off and on away on a new overseas adventure as you travel to Sydney. As your plane descents, look out the window to see Australia’s beaches, cities, rainforests, and (of course!) outback. A local guide will be waiting at the airport to transfer you to a city hotel.

In the afternoon, take time to unpack, rest, and explore. Take a dip in the hotel pool, explore the city’s busy streets, or take a bus to the beach. In the evening, you will meet with your local guide and group for dinner, offering you an excellent opportunity to get to know your guide and ask lots of questions about your upcoming schedule!

Start your first day in Australia by touring the famous city of Sydney. Begin at the historic district of The Rocks for a walking tour. Next, drive by St. Mary’s Cathedral, Hyde Park, and Darling Harbour. Enjoy lunch in the Royal Botanic Gardens before heading to Mrs. Macquarie’s Chair for panoramic views of the Sydney Harbour. Can you spot the famous opera house?! Next, you are off to Bondi Beach for a swim before jumping on a boat to view the city from the water. Cruise by the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Sydney Opera House. Head back to your hotel for rest and free time to explore more of the city independently.

Wake up bright and early to learn the sport of lacrosse. Make your way to the New South Wales Lacrosse Field to meet with professional coaches. Australia is ranked as the top country in the world for lacrosse, so you are learning from the best. Learn how to catch, shoot, carry, and pass the ball with your lacrosse stick. Next, break up into two teams for a friendly competition. After a good morning workout, enjoy a well-deserved lunch of fish, chips, and ice cream.

You’ll spend this afternoon with some of Australia’s most famous and lovable creatures. Head over to Featherdale Wildlife Park to have an up-close and personal experience with kangaroos, koalas, snakes, and other native animals. In this intimate setting, a ranger will educate you on the different species. Make sure you take the opportunity to hug a koala. It is said to be a life-long memory. Enjoy lunch at a lodge before touring local landscapes, including Anzac Bridge.

Get up before the sun rises to take off into the air for an unforgettable hot air balloon ride. Enjoy spectacular aerial views of the country. A pilot will educate you on its landscape, including the valleys, rivers, and mountains you will see. Soak up the breathtaking views of the country’s incredible terrain. Upon landing, you will be rewarded with a refreshing glass of champagne and a buffet breakfast. As you return to your hotel, you’ll have the afternoon to swim at Bondi Beach and independently explore the city of Sydney. In the evening, you will take a short domestic flight to the Gold Coast.

Another adventurous day awaits as you make your way to Canyon Flyer Park. Climb onto a 10-person 4WD for a wild ride to the top of a mountain. Hold on tight! Next, it is time to harness up and soar down the mountain on seven huge zip-lines. Take in spectacular views of Cedar Creek Gorge and tree canopy below. Zip-lining over 70 km per hour at 60 meters in the air will be sure to give you an adrenaline rush! Head back to the hotel for a good rest and recovery before making your way to the Gold Coast Lacrosse Sharks game. Now that you understand the sport, it’s time to watch professionals play. Enjoy the thrills of a passionate crowd as you cheer for your favorite team to win!

It’s your final day in Australia! Make your way to the Gondwana Rainforest to visit the stunning Natural Bridge waterfall. An expert guide will educate you about the fauna and flora of the rainforest as you hike. Walk inside the cave to see water cascading through the roof, a geological phenomenon that was formed millions of years ago! Enjoy a picnic lunch and swim in the waterfall pools before arriving at Best of All Lookout. Soak up breathtaking views of Mount Warning and New South Wales. As you return, walk through an ancient Antarctic beech forest to discover a hinterland restaurant. Take a break to enjoy freshly baked scones with tea, coffee, or hot chocolate. Your last stop of the day is Purling Brook Falls to look for wildlife and wade in its waters.

It has been an adventurous and educational week in Australia, but it’s time to say goodbye. Enjoy one final breakfast with your group and guides before heading to the local airport for your departing flight. We hope to see you on another group trip again soon!
