Spanish Language Immersion in Spain

Arrive in Madrid where you will spend your week in Spanish language immersion as you get to know this charming Spanish capital city. Upon arrival, your local guides will be waiting to greet you at the airport and transfer you to your accommodations. Get settled into your new home for the week before joining your local guides for tapas and cerveza (or vino) in the heart of the city  before going on a walking tour to get acquainted with this architecturally stunning city.

Enjoy an early breakfast and get ready for the first official day of your Spanish language immersion in Madrid! Spend your morning and afternoon in class studying Spanish with your newfound group of friends. Learn how to cook a traditional Spanish omelet while putting your newly acquired vocabulary at practice as you delight your senses. Spend the evening touring the exquisite Royal Palace of Madrid and Royal Botanical Gardens and learning the governmental history of Spain and the history of the nation’s kings and queens.

Start your morning with a tempting breakfast before heading to the language school for today’s Spanish lessons. Learn practical Spanish vocabulary to help you navigate the city and order food when dining out. Enjoy learning how to cook mouth-watering traditional Spanish tapas like patatas bravas and patatas alioli, croquettes, and huevos rotos as you reinforce the vocabulary learned in today’s lesson. After class, head to Plaza Mayor for a history lesson in this stunning renaissance square and try practicing your new language skills as you order a coffee or churros from a local café. Rise early for breakfast and then head to your academy for another fun-filled day of language learning as you begin to grow confident in your newly acquired Spanish language skills. After breakfast, get ready for your last day of total Spanish language immersion at the academy as you participate in an engaging Spanish-only dialogue with your classmates and instructors and show off your new skills. For lunch, go to the neighborhood of La Latina for some of the best Spanish tapas and drinks as you put your skills to the test. Continue the day with a stroll through Retiro Park where you can relax under the lush green and elegant gardens and enjoy the Spanish sun. Walk a few short steps to the Palacio de Cristal and marvel at the intricate architecture and designs before heading back to Gran Via. Get ready for another night out with your new friends as you dance the night away madrileño/madrileña style!

Enjoy breakfast and one last stroll through the lively streets of Sol and Gran Via neighborhoods of Madrid as you say your goodbyes to the city and your newfound amigos/amigas before being transported to the airport to catch your return flight home.
