Itinerary

Your educational student tour has begun as you travel to Vancouver. As you descend, take a look out of your window to see the province’s temperate rainforests and towering mountains. A local guide will be waiting to transfer you to your city hotel. 

The afternoon is yours to explore your environment – stroll down the city’s streets, jump into the hotel pool, or get a massage at the hotel spa. In the evening, you’ll meet with your guide for a buffet dinner, a great opportunity to get to know your guides and ask questions about your upcoming adventures!

Vancouver is a city that should be explored by water. Get suited up for a wild zodiac ride through False Creek and along the shores of Stanley Park. Stop by Canada Place, the Lion’s Gate Bridge, Seaspan on the way to the granite cliff faces. Admire the Granite Falls in all of its spectacular beauty. If you feel brave, jump in seawater for a cold swim. A local guide who specialized in sustainability and conservation will educate you on Vancouver’s unique ecosystem and wildlife along the way. Be sure to ask about how the city protects its nature. 

Calling all adventurers! Today is for you, as you start at the Capilano River Hatchery to learn about the life cycle of the salmon, and watch them leap upriver. Following this, you’ll arrive at Capilano Suspension Bridge to admire the city’s temperate rainforest from its treetops. If you are a real thrill-seeker, try the cliff walk! After lunch at a local vegan restaurant, you will board the Grouse Mountain Skyride to travel 4000 feet up to its summit. Soak up the spectacular panoramic views of the city and nature. Explore the area and get an up-close view of the province’s famous grizzly bears located at the Refuge for Endangered Wildlife. 

Today you will begin your city tour in Gastown to hear about the history of the area as you ride down its cobblestone streets. Continue to Chinatown, which has the largest population of Chinese people outside of China. Next, you are off to Stanley Park, which is a natural wonderland of hemlock, fir, and cedar trees. Learn about its nature conservation efforts and contribute to the cause by planting seeds for reforestation and picking up garbage on trail paths. After lunch, hit a souvenir shop on Robson Street before making your way to Granville Island’s public market. 

You are off to the village of Whistler on Route 99 to board the Sea-to-Sky Gondola. This two-hour aerial experience offers breathtaking views of coastal forests, the Squamish River, and Howe Sound. Enjoy beer and snacks at Summit Lodge before setting off on a nearby trail to cross more suspension bridges. Enjoy free time exploring Brandywine Falls before heading back to the bustling village. Choose from an array of activities before heading back to the city of Vancouver.
