Your journey to study fashion in Shanghai, which has been dubbed the “Oriental Paris,” begins at Pudong International Airport. As your guide takes you to your hotel, you can see and feel the inspiration Shanghai has to offer.
After settling into your hotel, join your like-minded fashion students for a group dinner and an introduction to the city by your guide.
Your Shanghai fashion journey begins with a private tour of the premier South Bund Fabric Market. Your leader is one of Shanghai’s most popular social media fashionista influencers. There are hundreds of tailor shops in the market and they will produce anything you desire just from a photo. Your influencer will assist you in choosing the perfect outfit for a photo shoot with a professional photographer, creating awe-inspiring photos.
Relax as your cruise takes you on a sightseeing trip down the Huangpu River where you can enjoy the colonial era architecture of The Bund. Dinner will be at a local establishment; you can feast on dumplings (xiaolongbao).
Take an after-dinner stroll through the trendy Xintiandi quarter steeped in European glamour.
After a tour of the university, settle into a seminar on apparel merchandising that explores a slow fashion, ecologically-friendly viewpoint. IFA Paris, Shanghai University is a joint venture in fashion education that began in 2002.
