Itinerary

When you arrive in Zion National Park, you won’t be able to miss how beautiful it is. Take some time to set up camp before you venture out into the wilderness tomorrow.

The first activity on your tour is a great one. You’ll take a half-day photography tour of the park. Professional photographers will be there to help you at every turn, so it doesn’t matter how much experience you have. You’ll see some of the most beautiful parts of the park through your camera lens.

To round out the day, you’re riding on an all-terrain vehicle! An ATV is a great way to see Utah, including some of the best parts of the park from afar. You’ll also get to ride up and down two huge sand dunes. Hold on tight!

It’s time to strap on your hiking boots! You’ll hike 8 miles round-trip up to Observation Point. When you make it to the top, you’ll have an amazing view of Zion Canyon and basically all of the notable sights in the park. Make sure to take a picture up here, too.

Your first expedition today is to explore Zion’s slot canyons. Slot canyons are narrow canyons that are very deep and not very wide. They’re a unique formation and a great place to visit.

Next, it’s time to volunteer! Today, you’ll help the volunteers remove invasive plant species from the park. Invasive species are a threat to the wildlife that lives in Zion National Park, and could have terrible impacts if left unchecked. Your work makes it possible for this park to be enjoyed for years to come!

You’ll spend today canyoneering! Canyoneering is an exciting activity that combines finding routes, rappelling, problem-solving, swimming, and hiking. You’ll be able to experience the park in an interesting and unique way. It will be physically taxing, but canyoneering is appropriate for people of all skill levels, so you’ll have loads of fun!

It’s your last day in Zion National Park, but it’ll be an exciting one! First, you’ll go horseback riding along the trails. You’re more likely to see wildlife this way, as the animals are less likely to run away from the horse. You might see mule deer, foxes, bats, bighorn sheep, and rock squirrels.

Lastly, you’ll do a helicopter tour of the park! You’ll get a thrill by seeing the park like this, noting places you’ve been to during your journey. Enjoy the beautiful view!

It may be time to leave Zion National Park, but you won’t forget what you’ve learned here! Maybe you even discovered a love for a new outdoor sport.
