Upon arrival in Singapore, your group will transfer to your accommodations to unload and unwind. You’ll be staying in Outram — an area uniquely packed with quirky boutique hotels, snazzy restaurants housed in refurbished shophouses and colorful street art hidden in unassuming corners.
Spend the day getting acquainted with your home for the next 10 days, explore all that Outram has to offer, and be sure to head to the rooftop of Potato Head Folk for a great view of the city in the evening.
After a group breakfast to truly kickstart your time in Singapore, your group will transport to Chinatown — the city’s maze of narrow roads, Chinatown Food Street, souvenir shops and indie boutiques! Take a walking tour of this spectacular place before sitting down at one of its restaurants serving traditional fare like Hainanese chicken rice, noodles and satay for lunch. Visit the 1827 Sri Mariamman Temple and the ornate Buddha Tooth Relic Temple and Museum before heading out on a historical tour of Singapore in the afternoon.
In the afternoon, your group will meet in the center of the city for a historical tour of Singapore. Why did an international port city like Singapore develop? How did they become so successful? Even learn about sustainability and cleanliness via a storytelling of the incident of traveler Michael Fay — the man who spit out his gum and what happened to him!
Singapore is a large and unique city, but it also has a countryside! Spend the day today touring one of the many farms in the Kranji Countryside. Learn how crops go from seed to profit in this intimate, cultural experience. Don’t forget to sink your teeth into some delicious local produce!
Meet with a local business to learn about their function in Singapore’s economy and society as a whole. Interested in a specific industry? Let us know!
In the afternoon, visit the Singapore Botanic Gardens — a 160-year-old tropical garden located at the fringe of Singapore’s Orchard Road shopping district. This spectacular garden is one of three, and the only tropical garden, to be honoured as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You’ll also have the opportunity to see this incredible place at night when the sidewalks and structures are lit up!
After enjoying a group breakfast, your group will set out for a very exciting day on a river safari! This river-themed zoo and aquarium was built over 12 hectares and nestled between its two counterparts, the Singapore Zoo and the Night Safari. It is the first of its kind in Asia and features freshwater exhibits and a river boat ride as its main highlight. Try your eye at spotting some of southeast Asia’s spectacular wildlife!
Today, your group is going to adventure over to Punggol — a vibrant and hip waterfront enclave that may be the country’s best kept secret (for now!). Jaunt around the neighborhood by bike and cruise from the Punggol Waterway through beautiful bridges, graffitied underpasses and the gorgeous waterway en route to the Punggol Settlement.
Chat with families on the beaches, wander through the park and explore its impressive collection of dining options featuring seafood restaurants, local fare and international cuisine.
Explore another hidden gem in Singapore today — Palau Ubin, an island northeast of mainland Singapore. Located just 10 minutes away from Singapore by bumboat, Palau Ubin is a throwback to the quaint yesteryears of Singapore with its nature trails, kampung houses and winding roads. The best way to explore this fascinating island is on two wheels. Enjoy getting lost weaving through forested trails with the occasional lookout point of the gorgeous quarries!
Respite at Chek Jawa, the largest intertidal flat in Singapore which houses several ecosystems such as mangroves, sandy beaches, coastal forests, sand flats, mud flats and coral rubble. This place is overflowing with wildlife!
Another fascinating day ahead as your group ventures out to tour one of the most prestigious universities in all of Asia, the National University of Singapore. Explore the beautiful campus alongside your guide speaking to you all about the campus’s history, layout and courses that have educated international leaders like Abdul Razak Hussein – Second Prime Minister of Malaysia; Benjamin Sheares – Second President of Singapore; Andrew Ang – Supreme Court Judge; and Balaji Sadasivan – Former Chairman of the Executive Board of the World Health Organization.
In the afternoon, you’ll have the opportunity to step foot onto the overlook at the top of the Marina Bay Sands Hotel — a world-renowned site and destination for many international travelers! Inside the hotel, there is also a museum that your group will explore to learn more about Singapore and this incredible hotel.
To close out your trip with the final full day in Singapore, your group will visit the luxurious and fabulous Sentosa Island. To begin the day, tour the island and learn about the venue where US President Donald Trump and North Korean President Kim Jong Un met for the 2019 Summit.
In the afternoon, celebrate the ending of a fantastic 10-day trip to Singapore by playing on the beaches, visiting Tiger Sky Tower with panoramic views stretching as far as Indonesia, grabbing food from the food stalls and exploring the rest of the island.
Depending on your departure time, spend the morning exploring Singapore freely as you prepare to bid this incredible country farewell. We hope you enjoy your time in Singapore!
