Linger Longer in Tonga

Eco Tour of Tonga

The Kingdom of Tonga's history stretches back over 3,000 years, beginning with the migration of the Lapita people from the mainland and islands of Southeast Asia.

The Tongan people first encountered Europeans in 1616 when the Dutch vessel Eendracht, captained by Willem Schouten, made a short visit to trade.
